I'm a professional performer and dance maker based in Helsinki and Berlin.
I am moved by the poetics and real, brutal vulnerability that is communicated through dance and music. I cherish and believe in the affective, sense-making and communicating body, that finds its existence through singing, moving, touching and sensing. I love the magnetic, thick focus that lands in the shared space when we witness a performance happen. My educational background consists of Masters and Bachelor's degrees in contemporary dance, University of Arts, Theatre Academy, Helsinki. Part of my Master's degree was conducted at SODA-program (HZT, Berlin). After my MA studies I did a 2-year long music theatre specialisation track (University of Arts, Helsinki) that focused on music theatre singing and Estill voice training with the very best teachers. I have also studied classical piano and music theory in Turku Conservatory. I work widely in different fields of performance art as a performer, choreographer and a facilitator. I have years of experience facilitating and teaching dance classes for people on the autism spectrum with Liisa Pentti. This enocouraged me to start studying neurodivergent coaching and occupational therapy as an addition to my artistic work. I am part of the queer and sex-positive communities in Helsinki and Berlin. I have experience in being part of groups who work with sexpositive and intimate practices on stage and aim to build safer spaces. I am always excited to form new connections with other curious and passionate creators - find my contact here! |
